EOI strives to help individuals lead full and rewarding lives through the acquisition, development, and retention of skills as well as exposure to a variety of life experiences. Our agency is based on the belief that our individuals' needs are of the greatest importance. We are committed to meeting those needs in community settings.
EOI program services include Residential Services, and In-Home Support Services in a parent/guardian's home or the individuals' own home. The intent of the Residential Services program is to meet the habilitation and personal care needs of individuals living in a licensed residential setting (ALU). Each apartment provides a home-like environment for
1 -3 adults, ages 21 and up. Residential Services staff provide assistance with learning, retention, or improvement of skills related to activities of daily living. Individuals living in the ALU receive regular instruction in a variety of independent living skills including; personal care, shopping, cooking, housekeeping, accessing community services, social and adaptive skills necessary to enable the individual to reside in a non-institutional setting. The level of supervision and assistance provided by staff is based on the needs of each individual. Persons living in the ALU regularly participate in activities away from home. This may include working, attending school or vocational training, volunteering, and participating in recreational activities. These services are in conjunction with habilitation, training and instruction along with support to assist individuals to flow through their day harmoniously.
Through the ISS program we provide community living skills instruction to individuals with developmental disabilities living in private residences either independently, or with family/guardian's. Daily routines incorporate activities typical of others living in the community. Staff visits each person regularly to provide training assistance and instruction or support to enable the individual to acquire and maintain skills that will allow him/her to function with greater independence in the community. Our support facilitators work one on one with the individual to enhance their life skills and maximize their level of independence. Individuals will receive less supervision than in ALU's but will receive the support needed to improve their independent living skills and community participation.
We would welcome the opportunity to earn your trust and deliver you the best service in the industry. You're invited to attend a one-hour information session about the programs and services of Empowerment Options, Inc.
